SETUP

1a. INSTALLING FANGS:

There are three sizes of fangs included in the set - Male, Female, and Child. One of these should fit your AV.

Attach (or wear) "The Thirst 1.1" object to your body. The default is set for your mouth. If you attach it somewhere else (left eye, chin, etc.) you're going to have to alter the position of the unit in order for it to look right.

As well, although one of the sizes should fit your AV, you may desire to alter your fangs to fit. The Thirst has been made Copy Allowable - we *STRONGLY* suggest making copies of the teeth before making any alterations.

(For more information on altering your fangs, see the section on editing your item in the FAQ at the bottom of this note).

1b. INSTALLING HUD:

Included in the box is an item marked "BloodHUD 1.0". Simply right click on this item in your inventory, and choose 'wear'. A control panel for your fangs/blood should appear on your screen.

1c. INSTALLING AO MULTI-TOOL

Included in the box is an item marked "Vamp Animator 1.0". Right click on this item in your inventory, and choose 'wear. The item is invisible, but will allow you to type commands that will animate yours and other AVs around you.

2. ACTIONS:

There are a range of actions and action combinations available via the BloodHUD.

FACES: Clicking on one of the five faces will activate that expression; clicking it again will deactivate it, returning your face to it's default expression/state.

FANGS: On the left are two buttons, a white fang and a greyed-out fang. Clicking the fang will enable your fangs to be seen (and thereby be visible when your mouth is closed as well). Clicking the greyed-out fang will hide them.

BLOOD: On the right are two buttons - a red blood droplet and a greyed-out droplet. Clicking the red droplet will fill your mouth with blood, and enable a timed dripping of blood. Clicking the greyed-out droplet will drain your mouth of blood, and disable the drip.

ANIMATIONS: The Vamp Animator AO Multitool is programmed with a range of text-line commands to activate animations in you and the AVs around you. A full list of these commands is available (after you attach the Multitool) by typing the command "!list" in your chat window. Some of the basic ones are:

/hug (name) - This will offer a hug animation to whichever AV you choose within a 10M range.
/kiss (name) - This will offer a kiss animation to whichever AV you choose within a 10M range.
/feed (name) - This will offer a bite animation to whichever AV you choose within a 10M range.

* NOTE: Multiple styles of bite were planned for the Vamp Multitool 1.0, but because of increasing pressure to release this system, we've decided to go forward as-is. More styles of bite AOs are planned, and will be released in future upgrades, which are free.*

POSE BALLS: Simply drag and drop the pose balls onto the ground in an area where you have permission to rez objects. Then right-click the ball you wish to be animated by, and choose 'sit here'. The poses were designed for a victim at 5'4" tall and a vampire at 5'11" tall; If the pose isn't quite right, you can alter the position via the Edit menu (see Editing the Poseballs in the FAQ below). When done with the pose, right-click yourself and choose 'Stand Up'. Be sure to right-click and "Take" the balls back when you are done.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. WHY DON'T MY FANGS LOOK RIGHT? (It's on my cheek, sticking out too far, etc.)

A. Every face is different, and so your fangs may need to be adjusted to your particular face. This is done by opening your mouth with the fangs in (using one of the expressons) and then right-clicking the object in your mouth, then choosing 'Edit' from the pie menu. A window will come up with options for adjusting your fangs - Position, Rotation, Stretching. Use these to move and rotate your fangs until they fit perfectly in your mouth. DO NOT 'UNLINK' THE OBJECTS THAT MAKE UP YOUR FANGS. This can possibly damage the interaction of the scripts and break the functionality of your fangs. Instead, be sure to click the 'Edit Linked Objects" radio button in your Edit control panel. This will allow you to move and rotate pieces of the fangs individually.

Also, to reiterate, MAKE A COPY OF YOUR FANGS BEFORE ATTEMPTING MODIFICATIONS.

WARNING: If you are not used to adjusting objects via the Edit window, it's a good idea to practice on something else first, or ask for help from someone who knows how.

Q. WHY IS IT NOT DRIPPING REGULARLY? (SOMETIMES IT'S DRIPPING AND OTHERS NOT)

A. Particle emitters (water, snow, the drip) are particularly sensitive to lag and update glitches. Depending on where you are and how recently an update happened, the drip may be more or less frequent (or in extreme cases, not at all) If you're really frustrated, try detaching and re-attaching the item (or go to a less laggy area).

Q. MY HUD IS TOO BIG, AND OBSCURING MY SCREEN. HOW CAN I MOVE IT?

A. The BloodHUD is an object like any other; you can manipulate it via the "Edit" menu. Simply right-click the HUD and choose "Edit" from the pie menu. A set of arrows will appear, allowing you to move and resize your HUD according to your tastes.

Q. WHY DON'T MY POSE BALL POSITIONS LOOK RIGHT? (I'm in the floor, he's too tall, etc.)

A. The pose balls were designed with a victim at 5'4" height and a vampire at 5'11" height. If the pose isn't quite matching up, you can alter their position via the Edit menu. Simply right-click on the ball you wish to alter, choose 'edit' from the menu, then right-click again on the ball and choose 'Sit'. Via the Edit controls you will be able to alter the location of the pose while seeing yourself animated in it.

Q. WHY DOESN'T MY AO ANIMATION LOOK RIGHT? (We're not together when I bite, etc.)

A. First, make sure you are as close as possible to the person you are attempting to animate. Although the action range is 10M, often being right in front of the person (facing them) will create a more lifelike animation. We are still working on improving the Multitool animation, as well as adding further styles of vampire bite, so please bear with us. The item will be one of the first things to be updated, and that update will be free of charge.

Q. I THINK MY ITEM IS GLITCHY OR BROKEN

A. IM Eva Wyler with any problems. If you return your item, she will repair it or give you a new one free of charge.

Q. I LOST MY ITEM SOMEWHERE AND I NEED ANOTHER ONE

A. We're sorry but repairs/returns can only be serviced if we actually receive your orignal broken item back. We are not responsible for items lost due to negligence, SL updates, Sandbox erasures etc.

Q. WHO DO I CONTACT IF I HAVE A QUESTION THAT'S NOT LISTED HERE?

A. Any and all questions should be IMed to Eva Wyler, head designer at Liquid Inc. She will be happy to help in any way she can.
