This set of rules are valid for Necropolis which uses CCS System only. All other combat systems used by players such as DCS, GCS, WARPS, BLOODLINES, GOREAN Systems are NOT allowed nor supported by the managament and the use of them may result in a player being banned from the Chain.

THE RULES

1) MOST IMPORTANT RULE
"YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE AN ASSHOLE". - Suzanna Soyinka

2) ADMINISTRATIVE FIAT
ANY INFORMATION NOT CURRENTLY COVERED IN THE INFORMATION AT HAND IS SUBJECT TO DETERMINATION BY THE SIM ADMIN.

3) CHILD AVATARS:
Absolutely no sex based age play allowed. PERIOD. NO ARGUMENTS. Child avatars are not allowed. Breaking these rules is grounds for an immediate ban!
The management reserves the right to decide what is a child avatar in this sim.

4) VEHICLES/FLYING:
Do not rez cars or other vehicles in the Estate. This is a no fly zone. Do not use flight defeating gadgets in the Sims. ***

***A vehicle is defined as any object that uses the physics engine to drive it (i.e. cars, motorcycles, trucks, chocobos, magic carpets, hover platforms, etc), rather than an object that attaches to the avatar (i.e. horses, skateboards, bicycles, etc). If you are uncertain whether or not the object you wish to use is a vehicle, please contact a GM for help in determining the difference!

5) FACTIONS:
Characters are encouraged to be members of one faction at a time to prevent deliberate or accidental meta-gaming. Please be mature and aware if you choose other Clans or Factions cross role play and meta-gaming will not be tolerated in the land. If you are using the Estate as a battlefield with your enemies try to inform Staff ahead of time. If you wish a Clan basing and a Clan sign in the entry of the Sim contact a Staff and that time the GM team will review the information you provided before making a final decision.

6) VENDORS:
No one is allowed to rez vendors or to sell their products in the city without ADMIN approval.

7) XP CAMPING:
Camping means you are idling in the sim, not participating in role play (either openly or in IMs), and basically just doing nothing to earn experience. THIS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. If you must go AFK for a short period (10 to 15 minutes) then turn your CCS off or set yourself to AFK or BUSY which stops you from earning experience. IF you will be gone for a longer period it is better to log out, especially if the sim is near capacity.

Do not try to hide someplace in the build (e.g. in walls, underground, up in the sky) or try to hide your CCS meter in the sim.

RENTERS: You are free to chill out in your homes but if you are not going to be RPing or doing Estate related things for an extended period then please turn your CCS off

The arrival area being an OOC area, people may only stay there for 10 minutes with their meter turned on. After that, they are required either to turn it off or move to one of the RP areas.

8) COMBAT/WEAPON SELECTION

􀀂

Read the rules on Estate RP COMBAT and review the list of approved and banned weapons by following the link

http://ccs-gametech.com/index.php/lost-angels-rules/weapons-rules-and-guides

You MUST HAVE a Community Combat System (CCS), which is available in the TP entry area for free, to engage in combat in sim. You do not need it if you just wish to role play. However, it is encouraged to wear one all the time since combat can break out at any point as a result of role play. Do not try to use the lack of a CCS as an excuse to avoid the consequences of your actions. You reap what you sow.
In addition is determined that It is not permitted to be non combative or not wearing CCS and engage in insulting or hostile role play, it is a form of god mode and not permitted in the sim.

Your CCS Meter must be visible and readable at all times.

EXCEPTION - A CCS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND ACTIVE WHILE IN A FACTIONAL BASE. THERE IS NO SCOUTING A BASE NON-COMBAT AND ATTACKING LATER. IF ASKED TO LEAVE A BASE, THEN LEAVE. NO HANGING AROUND WHEN YOU ARE NOT WANTED.

Doors are considered Role Play locked exception is entry doors to public areas like the tavern. If you go into a house with intention of a CCS attack you must role play entry some realistic way in open chat in case a GM wishes to review your motives and methods. Renters here support this Estate and their rights WILL be respected. However is no safe zones in this estate other than designated areas. If you wish avoid a CCS attack turn it off before a RP begins. If you are CCS defeated, you may request a fade-to-black, and call a GM if you are uncomfortable with the RP, but not to avoid having to RP defeat.

8a) CRASH COMBAT:
If you are in combat and you crash and return, you are out of combat for 10 minutes for the first crash after the second you are out for good, , set your meter non-com for the 10 minute period and remain inactive in RP and combat for that time. As soon as you return shout ((CRASH OUT FOR 10)) in local chat. And also while in combat you get a meter bug you are out for 5 minutes this means you have to set your meter to noncom and wait the full time before going back into the RP

8b) NAT REVIVE:
Natural Revive takes five minutes. When someone revives naturally they have only less 30 HP. Players are not allowed to kill or use any skills on anyone who has just naturally revived unless they attack first. You must state ((Natural Revive)) and step to the side, using skills will put you back in action, and a target. Remember sometimes things occur and you are killed while Natural Revive, please do not start ooc problems, if this occurs, 90% of the time it was accidental.

) GESTURES/SOUNDS:
Gestures are annoying during role play. Please use them appropriately and rarely. Do not spam gestures or sounds repeatedly as this disrupts role play and is annoying.

10) SHOUTING:
Please keep shouting to a minimum and in conjunction with ongoing role play. OOC shouting is prohibited in the Sim.

11) HARASSMENT:
Necropolis is a dark role play simulation. Activities many regard as "evil" are typical in this sim. Slavery, rape, murder, theft and random violence are all appropriate in this world. Demons, vampires, lycanthropes, creatures from other planes, rapists, serial killers and similar creatures all roam the land. This means that *characters* often act in aggressive, predatory, criminal and/or plain uncomfortable ways. This is to be expected given the nature of the simulation.

In-character protests often do not deter such activity because many *players* come to the Sim looking for such things, regardless of that their *character* might want. If you do not with to role play certain activities or with certain players then it is best to IM the other person out-of-character (OOC) and politely explain you are uncomfortable and would rather not engage in any such activities. You can also use the "FADE TO BLACK" rule (see the COMBAT rules) if appropriate. If activities persist then contact a GM about the issue.

12) BEING BANNED:
If you are banned for violating these rules you can only contact another GM if you feel the ban was unjust or abusive. Trying to get your ban lifted by contacting various GMs will only get your ban time increased. The sim owners have final say on sim bans. You may appeal to them if you feel you have been unfairly treated.

In the event we determine the Sanctions imposed is serious and meets the criteria and then requires a CCS Ban we will forward out notification of the Ban and findings to the Global GM within 24 hours. All estate Administrators will review all CCS bans to protect the rights of both the players and the GMs involved.

13) REPORTING PROBLEMS:
Any issues, questions, instances of rules violations or any other problems can be brought to the GM staff. These are players with "GM" above their meter. Please be polite and straight forward with your issue so it can be addressed quickly. If you have a problem with a GM then brings it to the attention of Illyra Wycliffe, MarkusChristopher Llewellyn or Zoey Bosatsu as they are current CCS Administratiors. Any accusations of cheating must be brought to your faction head or a GM to be addressed. Do not make public accusations of cheating.

14) REZZING OBJECTS:
Rezzing objects is permitted in the sim because RP sometimes requires various props, objects, pose balls and so forth to be added to the sim. Objects left lying around the sim count against the overall prim limit of the sim and reduce the amount for others to use. Renters, of course, can leave items in their apartments within their prim limits. Persistent disregard of this rule or rezzing a large number of objects will result in disciplinary action. The sim is not a building zone.

15) OUT OF CHARACTER:
Statements made out of character in the sim are indicated by (( brackets)) or OOC tools. This is so your fellow players know what you are saying is not in character and helps minimize confusion between IC (in character) and OOC(out of character) statements.

Insulting, argumentative or those made in anger, stated OOC to other members of this community are completely PROHIBITED. If you have an issue that you feel requires the intervention of a mediator, contact a member of the GM Team.

OOC COMMENTS MADE IN AN INSULTING OR OFFENSIVE MANNER TO ANYONE IN THIS COMMUNITY CAN AND WILL RESULT IN A BAN FROM THE SIM/S.

16) META-GAMING
As stated in the CoLA combat rules, Meta-gaming is defined as: When a player has become aware of or told about information Out of character (OOC) pertaining to or directly regarding an ongoing storyline, situation or other player and then, by means of role play, uses that information either to their own benefit or as a means to interact with/against other players.

This is extremely aggravating for those of us who are trying to provide fun and possibly in-depth stories for the residents in LA and is therefore prohibited in the game.

17) GODMODDING

As defined in the below, this sort of activity is disruptive, rude and unwelcome in the sim/s. Individuals found to be godmodding other players will be subject to disciplinary action including banned from the sim/s.

Godmodding:

Godmodding is a term common to message board based role-playing games. Godmodding is almost always frowned upon by other members of the RPG, as it can be severely annoying to everyone.

Godmodding is a variant of god moding. The type of behavior it describes is also classically known as Twinking.

Godmodding for personal gain

Godmodding occurs when a character describes an event or a series of events he or she has taken against a player character in the RPG, with the person who plays the character acted against then describing actions taken that completely nullify the original actions against them. Godmodding is thus used like a "Get Out of Jail Free card" when things don't go the way a player wants, rather than working with previously unfolded events. It is also used as a single word definition of having an invincible character or unbreakable armor, limitless power, etc. For example, the following exchange would be godmodding on the part of player A:

  • Player B states, "Having exploited A's mistake and caught hold of him, B strikes A."
  • Player A states, "B completely missed A, and A takes no damage."

Godmodding at the expense of others

Godmodding can also refer to the case where a player describes the outcome of their own actions against another character. For example, player A stating, "A strikes B and B takes damage" would be considered godmodding on the part of player A in most situations. Another less common version of this is when a character is facing multiple enemies, and he directs an attack from one foe into another foe. This takes the format 'Player B states, "A misses B completely, and strikes C instead."'

Controlling characters

Controlling characters that aren't your characters to begin with is also a form of godmodding.

  • Player A: Punches Player B.
  • Player B: Dodges attack, grabs Player A and throws him. Player A flies at Player B, who warps behind him and slashes Player A in the back.

Game Master and Sim Administrator Sanction Powers: This Sim allows the GM and Admins to judge each incident individually and weighs in past offenses, attitudes, notifications by other GMs in regards to the CCS Data Base, in order to render the proper sanctions for the incident and may at the digression of the GM depart upwards or downwards in sanctions, to include a warning, timed estate ban or a XP dock.
All sanctions will be reviewed by a CCS Administrator.

We refrain from the Estate Bans for CCS violations these are reserved for Grieffing.
Sim and CCS Administrator interpret Grieffing as the excessive OCC insults or Drama that corrupts ongoing role play or refusing to cooperate with the Sims Theme and or refusing to cooperate with the directives of or arguing with a Estate Officer or GM as well as spamming with objects or caging or attempting combat without a CCS.

Global Overview.
We will consider the going to the CCS Support chat or harassing a CCS Global GM over Sanctions by the Sims GMs or Administrators of this Estate, without First exhausting the appeal process we have established, as open GM shopping and the willful causing a OCC drama and if is proven is a complaint without merit may result in severe sanctions up to include a CCS Ban. Again you may make a notecard and send to any GM or the Administrator of the Estate.

Authorities:

First, CCS is one GAME, it is not one UNIVERSE, it is one game, played in many different ways by around 300 or so seperate sims as of this time. I dictate to NO ONE, beyond the terms of use agreement which states that admin abuse of the system or the allowance of excessive camping can result in the loss of the system. I don't tell Demonia Arliss who she can ban in her sims, I don't tell Ravenal Ashby how to run the game in her sim, I don't tell Cross Voight how to handle the players in his sim. All CCS sim owners are autonomous outside of the terms of use agreement.
Suzanna Soyinka

CCS does not administer affiliate sims over the owners shoulders, there are only two instances where CCS gets involved in the administrative decisions of sim owners and thats if there is a direct violation or exploitation of the CCS system going on.
Suzanna Soyinka

First off there are no "CCS Battle" rules. There are Sim Combat Rules. They are individual and can differ from sim to sim. CCS does not tell a sim owner how to run their sims.
Suzanna Soyinka

In Conclusion if you not wish to obey our policies go elsewhere to play.
