Life determines whether a player is alive. A players maximum life is set each time the player levels to a value determined by their CCS Fortitude stat. Life is lowered by damage (normally in combat as a result of other players using melee attacks or skills, or by being struck by a projectile) and increased by healing. Healing occurs naturally and may be accelerated by other players' healing skills and by API healing devices.

When a player's life reaches zero the player is defeated. A defeated player may be revived by another player or will revive automatically after a set period.
