Herein are the rules for the Kemendae Dark Fantasy RP Sim… please follow the rules while in the sim. If you have questions about combat within the sim, this is a ccs sim, all ccs combat rules are enforced.

DUE TO CHANGES IN THE SECOND LIFE TERMS OF SERVICE YOU INHERENTLY AGREE, BY AGREEING TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES AND ENTERING Kemendae ( Crimson Rose sim), THAT YOU ARE OVER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN AND YOU ARE NOT OFFENDED BY VIOLENCE, ADULT LANGUAGE OR SEXUAL CONTENT. THE OWNER OF KEMENDAE DEFERS ALL RESPONSIBILITY BEYOND THIS AGREEMENT, IN LEGAL LIABILITIES, TO THE TRESPASSING PARTY, PARTIES NOT OVER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN ARE TRESPASSING AND THUSLY LEGALLY LIABLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS.

Please feel free to join the CCS group. The CCS group is where you can ask questions about the CCS system and get help with any problems you are having.
CCS EVENT GROUP
Please feel free to join the ++CCS Events Group++. This group is where sims throughout the CCS system advertise events that are happening in their sim.
ADMINISTRATIVE FIAT
ANY INFORMATION NOT CURRENTLY COVERED IN THE INFORMATION AT HAND IS SUBJECT TO DETERMINATION BY THE SIM ADMIN.
1. NO ASSHATS
You do not have the right to be an ass in any way shape or form. Being an asshat can get you either 1) XP docked or 2) banned.
2. Idling and Camping are NOT allowed.
Idling is defined as being in the sim and not responding to what is going on around you either visually or verbally for at least 5 minutes. Even if you are responsive when spoken to, you are required to emote periodically even if just standing by yourself… (this is a Roleplay Sim) often combined with being in a hidden or out of the way location, but not always…
-Camping is defined as being non responsive and/or not emoting for at least 10 minutes. Usually combined with being in a hidden or out of the way location, but not always.
THIS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN!!
If you must go AFK or BUSY for a short period, then do /9 OFF to turn your CCS off or set yourself to AFK or BUSY which stops you from earning experience. IF you will be gone longer, then it is better to log out.
Do not try to hide somewhere in the sim or try to hide your ccs meter in the sim. Players found in the air, hidden, outside the rp area or in otherwise suspicious circumstances will be presumed XP campers and will be treated accordingly.
RENTERS: You are free to chill out in your apartment but if you are not going to be RPing or doing Kemendae related things for an extended period then please turn your CCS off
3. No Factions
There are no official factions within Kemendae… everyone who plays here regularly are considered to be a 'Citizen' of Kemendae and that is the only official faction. Family and clans are allowed to exist and play here, but they are not official.
4. No Wars
No faction wars, no group wars, no clan wars. no wars of any sort between various groups that play here. Any group found to be initiating such a thing will be banned from the sim.
5. Sparring
All sparring is considered to be 'IC' there is no OOC in the sim. Standing around sparring all day is not acceptable. You must emote while you spar or actively RP between bouts.
6. Dueling
Personal duels between people are encouraged in so far as it is a means of settling disputes in a 'gentlemanly' manner. All duels and other combat are to take place at the arena.
7. Combat in general
The CCS rules for combat are in effect here. The main rules for ccs and the sim are as follows:
A) you MUST roleplay before and after combat
B) no detaching your meter before or after combat
C) no teleporting into combat to 'help' a friend
D) no 'calling' for help via IM's - only physical devices may be used to call for help and only from those within the sim itself. Not from outside. You can however send a messenger physically out of your area to find assistance. (meaning that whoever you send for help must run/walk -NOT TP- to find assistance from others)
*E) CRASHING IN COMBAT*
If you crash during combat, there is a mandatory 5 minute time out after you rez back into the sim.
8. Safe Zones
There are no safe zones… you can be attacked at any time, any where… the only caveat is that you cannot be attacked while in a rental unless they rp breaking the door down, in which case you must then allow them entry.
9. GM's
GM's are responsible for ensuring rules are followed, but they are not GOD. If you feel that you have been treated unfairly, then you may appeal to the sim owners during business hours.
10. Vehicles / Flying
These are not allowed in the sim. Please do not rez them or use them as they cause lag. Kemendae is a no flight zone. Do not use flight enabling gadgets in the sim.
A vehicle is defined as any object that uses the physics engine to drive it (i.e. cars, motorcycles, trucks, chocobos, magic carpets, hover platforms, etc), rather than an object that attaches to the avatar (i.e. horses, skateboards, bicycles, etc). If you are uncertain whether or not the object you wish to use is a vehicle, please contact a GM for help in determining the difference!
11. CHILD AVATARS
NO child avatars are allowed within the sim. This is a mature RP sim and thus no place for anyone playing a child. If you bring a child avatar into the sim, you will be asked to leave. Refusal to do so will cause you to be banned from the sim.
12. GM's reserve the right to determine legitimacy of any object or gun etc. If asked to remove or not use an item, please do as requested.
13. RECRUITING
You may not recruit players from Kemendae to go and play in other sims, leaving this one. Not only is it bad manners, but it often leads to hurt feelings and leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
14. CCS
You MUST HAVE a Community Combat System (CCS), which is available at the entrance for free, to engage in combat in Kemendae. Do not try to use the lack of a CCS as an excuse to avoid the consequences of your actions. You reap what you sow.
Your CCS Meter must be visible and readable at all times.
15. GESTURES/SOUNDS
Gestures can be an enhancement to role play. Please use them appropriately and rarely. Do not spam gestures or sounds repeatedly as this disrupts role play and is annoying. In particular, certain maniacal laughing, as well as gestures made with children's voices, are forbidden. Do not use cartoonish gestures, and do not use gestures in normal conversation, or OOC. When in doubt, as a GM before first use.
16. Shouting
Please keep shouting to a minimum and in conjunction with ongoing role play. Constant OOC shouting is disruptive to role play and spoils the mood of the sim.
17. HARASSMENT:
Kemendae is a dark Fantasy role play simulation. Activities many regard as "evil" are possible in Kemendae. Slavery, rape, murder, theft and random violence are all appropriate. Demons, vampires, lycanthropes, creatures from other planes, rapists, serial killers and similar creatures all roam the nexus point that is Kemendae. This means that *characters* often act in aggressive, predatory, criminal and/or plain uncomfortable ways. This is to be expected given the nature of the simulation.
In-character protests often do not deter such activity because many *players* come to the sim looking for such things, regardless of that their *character* might want. If you do not wish to role play certain activities or with certain players then it is best to IM the other person out-of-character (OOC) and politely explain you are uncomfortable and would rather not engage in any such activities. You can also use the "FADE TO BLACK" rule (see the COMBAT rules) if appropriate. If activities persist then contact a GM about the issue.
18. BEING BANNED:
If you are banned for violating these rules you can only contact another GM if you feel the ban was unjust or abusive. Trying to get your ban lifted by contacting various GMs will only get your ban time increased.
Decisions may be appealed against, but if that is not immediately possible, you are bound to continue RP with the disputed decision in force. The ONLY persons you can appeal to are Winter Illios and Czar Sadofsky, owners of Kemendae. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE A SUPPORT CHANNEL, OR APPEAL TO PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF KEMENDAE. They have better things to do than argue a situation they have not witnessed!
19. REPORTING PROBLEMS:
Any issues, questions, instances of rules violations or any other problems can be brought to the GM staff. These are players with "GM" above their meter. Please be polite and straightforward with your issue so it can be addressed quickly. If you have a problem with a GM then bring it to the attention of Winter Illios or Czar Sadofsky.
Any accusations of cheating must be brought to your faction head or a GM to be addressed. Do not make public accusations of cheating.
20. REZZING OBJECTS:
Rezzing objects is permitted in Kemendae because RP sometimes requires various props, objects, poseballs and so forth to be added to the sim. Objects left lying around the sim count against the overall prim limit of the sim and reduce the amount for others to use. Renters, of course, can leave items in their apartments within their prim limits. Persistent disregarding of this rule or rezzing a large number of objects will result in disciplinary action. Kemendae is not a building zone.
An automated process, as well as manual checking, will cause your items to be returned to you.
if it is repeatedly necessary to remove your left objects, you may be banned for this.
21. BLOODLINES METER/HUD
Bloodlines meters/huds are banned CCS Wide due to multiple issues and problems caused by them. If you are wearing one of these, please remove it as soon as you enter the sim, and keep it off for the duration of the time you are here. If you are seen wearing it you will be asked to remove it. Refusal to do so will result in a ban from the sim.
22. TRANSLATORS
Kemendae is an english speaking sim, if you cannot speak english, or speak it well, then please use a translator. This is mandatory and required. If you wish to play here then it is your responsibility to fit into the sim by doing so.
